“The Rising Dawn” is a short documentary by Nadi Saddy and Nuits Balnéaires following Côte d’Ivoire surf pioneer Souleymane Sidibé, from his first rides on little-known Ivorian breaks to his emergence on the global stage. The film celebrates the vibrant communities and ethereal coastlines shaping the country’s surf culture. RAWx created its immersive prologue—a fully animated sequence built through real-time workflows that enters Souleymane’s dream as he moves through a rainforest at dawn, drawn toward the call of the ocean.
